Peer Support is about helping others in the playground and making playtime fun and friendly.
We have a rota up on the wall so each child knows what their duty is on that particular day.
Our Peer Supporters are the older children, Y5 and Y6, so they can set a good example to the younger children by playing nicely and being friendly towards each other. We have a box of fun and safe equipment which the children love playing with. The Peer Supporters enjoy making and teaching new games to the infant children. We also have a friendship stop, so if a child is upset or lonely they just go to the friendship stop where a Peer Supporter will come and listen and then find them a friend to play with. Twice a month we will have a meeting where we will discuss new improvements and what we have achieved throughout that month. Every year we have Peer Support training where we learn the skills for being a Peer Supporter and we have good fun learning. Peer Support is run by Mr Williams and Ms White.
